Plaintiff was awarded a $260,000 total settlement against a law enforcement agency for the death of her mother who was a passenger on a motorcycle that was struck by a vehicle involved in a high-speed chase. $185,000 of the settlement was paid by the law enforcement agency which was in excess of the maximum amount that could be awarded under the Colorado Governmental Immunity Act at the time.
